Jason Delphin’s origins lie in Tasmania where he obtained a B.Mus. majoring in jazz. In his early twenties he became a resident of Queensland and now resides on the spectacular north-eastern coastline of NSW.

Jason brings much more than just the sound of jazz to his loyal group of followers and can be regularly found gigging from Byron Bay to Brisbane playing originals from his extensive playbook including some legendary covers to entertain his audience and keep them singing and dancing along to a few tunes.

Jason’s sound offers something for everyone, from a flamenco swing to a bluegrass blues with a folky twist - he knows just how to engage his audience and can display a wide range of musical diversity to adapt to the needs of each and every listener.

Jason thrives on the challenge of being provided with a set of sound guidelines from his clients so that he can then tailor a set of both original and cover music from his wide range of playlists, flawlessly tailored to the requests made.

Jason reads his audience well and has a keen improvisational nature, priding himself on his reliability and professionalism in providing entertainment for a wide range of live music function requirements.

A brief (and only recent) history… Jason was thrilled to grace the stage of The Falls Festival in Tasmania for 2 years consecutively; he was also Unearthed by Triple J and he has also been thrilled to be a part of the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival’s lineup for the last 4 years and will be back next year. He performs regularly at weddings and corporate events tailoring his performance to the client’s specific requirements.

You can find Jason playing his regular gigs along the Coast – some of his favourite being The Beach Hotel and The Rails in Byron Bay and Nightjar, Helm & both The Star and Treasury Casinos on The Gold Coast, just to name a few. Jason has released 5 albums over the last 5 years and is currently working on his 6th, which will aim to have a smooth, Bluesy vibe, set for release end of 2019.

than just the sound of Jazz to his unwavering group of fans who, because of the supporting nature of the tourism industry brought to you from Byron Bay to Brisbane, can find Jason’s next local gig and show up just in time to catch a few originals and even a cover to keep you singing along.
